Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped Use fresh for best flavor and nutrition.
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese Experiment with different types of cheese for unique flavors.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, or extra cheese Customize with your favorite toppings.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated to maintain a tender texture.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and carefully shape each portion into a round, evenly thick patty to ensure uniform cooking.

Cooking

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), ensuring they are thoroughly cooked and juicy.
  • Transfer the cooked patties to a plate and allow them to rest for a few minutes. This helps retain juices and improves flavor and texture.

Serving

  • Place each patty onto a burger bun and add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, or extra cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade White Cheddar Spinach Chicken Burgers!

Notes

If you have any leftovers, store the cooked burgers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm them in a skillet or in the microwave until heated through. For advance preparation, you can freeze patties before cooking; just wrap each patty in plastic wrap and store them in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
