Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Toppings

  • 1 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt Optional for topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in both granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next. Stir in the cocoa powder.
  • Gently fold in the flour and chocolate chips, being careful not to overmix.

Assembly

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Drizzle a generous layer of caramel sauce over it and sprinkle the pecans evenly.
  • Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl carefully with a knife to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until set at the edges but slightly gooey in the middle.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, replace butter with coconut oil. For a deeper flavor, consider using coconut sugar instead of granulated sugar.
