Ingredients
  

For the Naan

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup warm milk Ensure it's warm for better dough rise.
  • 1/4 cup yogurt Can be substituted with milk.
  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • Optional: minced garlic or herbs For additional flavor.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder together.
  • Add the warm milk, yogurt, and oil into the bowl.
  • Knead the mixture into a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  • Once risen, divide the dough into 4 to 6 balls.
  • Roll each ball into an oval shape.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet or tandoor.
  • Cook the naan for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until it puffs up and gets golden brown.
  • Brush the naan with butter or sprinkle with minced garlic or herbs if desired.

Serving

  • Serve the naan warm alongside grilled chicken.
  • Include dips like yogurt sauce or chutney for added flavor.

Notes

Store leftover naan in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat on a skillet. Grilled chicken can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
