  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce Use gluten-free teriyaki sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets Frozen broccoli can be used if thawed and drained.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella works great.
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped Additional for garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, shredded chicken, teriyaki sauce, broccoli, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top for that melty goodness.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid a mouthful of molten cheese!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like cilantro or basil, or a dash of red pepper flakes for heat. This dish can be made ahead and frozen for up to three months.
