Preparation
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain the fat.
- Add taco seasoning mix and water, stir well, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, diced jalapeños, sugar, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder to create the sauce.
Cooking
- In a frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium heat.
- Fry each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side until crispy, then remove and place on paper towels to drain.
- Spread refried beans on one side of each tortilla. Layer with ground beef, diced tomatoes, cheese, black olives, green onions, and optional green chilies.
- Place another tortilla on top to create a pizza.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cut into slices and serve with the sauce.
Notes
Serve with fresh side salad topped with avocado and lime dressing, crispy tortilla chips, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for dipping. For extra crunch, add shredded lettuce after baking.
