Ingredients
  

For the beef mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier version.
  • 1 oz packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water or beef broth

For assembly

  • 1 cup refried beans Optional; heat in a separate pot before assembling.
  • 4 pieces tortillas Wrap the burrito in your choice of tortilla.

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water (or beef broth) to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  • If using, heat refried beans in a separate pot.

Assembly

  • To assemble the burritos, spread some refried beans on a tortilla, add the beef mixture, and roll up the burrito.
  • Serve with your choice of toppings and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with crispy tortilla chips, salsa, fresh green salad, sour cream, guacamole, or cheese as toppings. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
