Strawberry Matcha Latte

A refreshing drink that wonderfully blends the sweetness of strawberries with earthy matcha for an energizing experience.

Ingredients
  

For the latte

  • ½ cup strawberries Use fresh strawberries for optimal flavor.
  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder Use high-quality matcha for best results.
  • 4 tbsp hot water Hot water should be around 80°C (175°F).
  • ¼ cup milk Can substitute with almond milk or oat milk.
  • 1 tbsp sugar Optional, adjust to taste.
  • ice Optional, for a cold drink.

Preparation

  • Puree the strawberries in a blender. If you'd like to add sugar, add it to the blender at this stage.
  • Mix the hot water and the green tea powder in a bowl or cup using a whisk. Avoid using boiling water as it can scald the matcha.
  • Add the strawberry puree to the bottom of your drinking glass. If you enjoy your drinks cold, add ice.
  • Pour the milk over a spoon to create a beautiful layered effect.
  • Gently add the matcha mixture on top to complete your Strawberry Matcha Latte.

Notes

Serve with a slice of lemon cake or light fruit-flavored muffins. Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
