  • 1 21-ounce can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 3.4-ounce box vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1.5 cups cold whole milk Use cold for better texture
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 8-ounce tub whipped topping

Preparation

  • Start by cutting the angel food cake into slices and placing a layer in the bottom of your serving dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk; whisk until thickened.
  • Fold in the sour cream and half of the whipped topping to make it creamy.
  • Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cake layer.
  • Pour half of the strawberry pie filling on top of the pudding layer.
  • Repeat these layers with the remaining cake, pudding mixture, and strawberry filling.
  • Top it off with the remaining whipped topping for a beautiful finish.
  • Finally, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let all the flavors meld together.

Notes

This cake is best served chilled. You can garnish with extra strawberries or whipped cream. For extra flavor, consider adding fresh strawberries between the layers. Make sure all your ingredients are cold for the best texture.
