Ingredients
  

For the Cream Puffs

  • 400 g Puff pastry
  • 1 tablespoon White cocoa syrup @saveur_cestdelicieux
  • 100 ml Whipping cream (sweetened with icing sugar) add a few tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 8 teaspoons Strawberry jam
  • 100 g Fresh Strawberries sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Icing sugar for sprinkling
  • Melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut hearts out from the puff pastry or cut rectangles. If you’re cutting rectangles, use only half the puff pastry. If you’re cutting hearts, use the full 400g of pastry.
  • Brush egg wash on top of the pastry.
  • Bake until golden brown and once cooled, slice the hearts open.
  • Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam inside each puff.
  • Top with sweetened whipping cream mixed with the white cocoa syrup.
  • Add freshly sliced strawberries on top and close the top pastry over.
  • Dust with icing sugar and drizzle melted chocolate on top.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Freeze empty puff shells for longer storage; reheat before serving. Assemble right before serving for best texture.
