  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved Use ripe, juicy strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For filling
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps thicken the strawberry juices.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Biscuit Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar For topping
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar For sprinkling on top

Serving

  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberries, 1/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss until the strawberries are well coated, then pour this mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish.

Biscuit Topping

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the batter over the strawberry mixture. Sprinkle with extra sugar if desired.

Baking

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, let it cool completely, then cover tightly or transfer to an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
