Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking pan.
- Cut the cream cheese into small cubes and scatter over the pie filling.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly on top of the cake mix.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh strawberries and pecans (if using) over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with whipped cream.
Notes
For an even more delightful experience, consider serving with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to three days.
