Ingredients

Fruits

  • 3 cups sliced strawberries Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 3 cups sliced bananas Use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.

Pudding Mixture

  • 8 ounces strawberry cream cheese spread
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 packets (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Layers

  • 11 ounces vanilla wafers Can be substituted with graham crackers or pound cake.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and whole milk.
  • Add instant vanilla pudding mix to the milk mixture and whisk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  • Fold in the strawberry cream cheese spread until fully combined and smooth.
  • In a separate chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture to create a light and fluffy texture.

Layering

  • In a trifle dish or large serving bowl, layer vanilla wafers, sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a pudding layer.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

Serving

  • Serve chilled and garnish with additional sliced strawberries and bananas if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Best enjoyed within a couple of days due to the softness of the wafers.
