Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes Waxy varieties like Yukon Gold or red are recommended
  • 1 cup cooked steak, diced Can use leftovers from a steak dinner
  • 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled Crispy bacon enhances flavor
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped For garnish and flavor
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Can substitute with other types of cheese, like Pepper Jack

Dressing

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust based on preference

Preparation

  • Boil the potatoes until they are fork-tender. Once done, let them cool before dicing.
  • In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, cooked steak, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the dressing over the potato mixture and gently stir to combine everything well.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to help the flavors meld together.

Notes

Steakhouse Potato Salad can be served cold or at room temperature. Garnish with extra green onions or bacon for presentation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
