  • 4 cups baby spinach Fresh and tender, adds a mild flavor.
  • 2 cups arugula Offers a peppery note.
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced Juicy and sweet, can substitute with apples or peaches.
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled Creamy and tangy, feta can be a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped Optional, adds a crunchy texture.

Dressing Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar Rich, tangy dressing base.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin for best flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste To enhance flavors.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the baby spinach and arugula. Gently toss them together.
  • Layer the thinly sliced pears over the greens. Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese evenly across the top. If desired, add the chopped walnuts.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  • Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving. Gently toss everything together.
  • Transfer the salad to a serving dish, garnishing with extra goat cheese crumbles and walnuts if desired.

Notes

Prepare the dressing ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to a few days for easy assembly.
