  • 1 pound Jumbo Shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp is recommended for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For tossing shrimp before grilling.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning Adjust according to your spice tolerance.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper

For the Rolls

  • 4 pieces French Rolls or Baguette, toasted Toasting enhances flavor.
  • 2 cups Lettuce, shredded For crunch.
  • 2 large Tomato, sliced
  • ½ cup Pickles, sliced
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise For the spicy mayo.
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce For the spicy mayo.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice For the spicy mayo.

Preparation and Cooking

  • Start by heating your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  • Grill the shrimp for about 2–3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and have a nice char.
  • Simultaneously, toast your rolls on the grill for about 1–2 minutes until golden.
  • For the spicy mayo, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  • Spread this spicy mayo on the toasted rolls.
  • Layer each roll with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the grilled shrimp.
  • Slice the rolls in half and serve warm, alongside fries or chips for a complete meal.

Notes

Experiment with different types of bread like ciabatta or pita for a unique twist. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
