Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding cumin or paprika to the mix. You can use leftover rice instead of cooking it fresh to save time. Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat for a healthier or vegetarian option.
