- 2 extra large eggs
Frosting Ingredients
- 0.5 cup salted sweet cream butter (for frosting, softened)
- 1 teaspoon clear vanilla flavoring
- 2.25 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons half and half Adjust for desired consistency
- 2-3 drops pink gel food coloring Optional for decoration
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool.
Frosting
- Beat together the softened butter, clear vanilla, and powdered sugar.
- Gradually add half and half until the desired consistency is reached.
- Add food coloring and mix until combined.
- Frost the cooled cookies and enjoy!
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for better mixing. Don’t overmix the dough; mix until just combined. Experiment with different flavors for the frosting or add sprinkles for extra fun!
