Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds until it’s just barely melted.
  • In a mixing bowl, add both sugars and mix until creamy.
  • Add the vanilla and the egg; mix until incorporated.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop the dough into 12 large balls and place them on a silicone or parchment-lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 9-11 minutes or until puffy and just starting to turn golden.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. To keep cookies fresh, ensure they are cooled before freezing.
