- In a large mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and sweetened condensed milk until a thick dough forms.
- Stir in the peppermint extract thoroughly.
- Divide the dough into three equal parts. Leave one part plain, color one part red and the other green using food coloring gel.
- Roll each colored dough into small balls or desired shapes.
- Lightly dust your hands and work surface with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
- Roll each piece in granulated sugar to coat evenly.
- Place the coated peppermint balls on a lined baking sheet and let them set for at least 2 hours at room temperature or until firm but soft.
- Store in an airtight container to keep soft and fresh.
