Ingredients

Fudge Base
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips Can substitute with dark or milk chocolate.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For additional flavor, add nutmeg.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Make sure it is softened.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Can use brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Method

Preparation
  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, allowing for an overhang.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, granulated sugar, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. Stir continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and starts to boil lightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the white chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set firmly.
  7. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
Storage
  1. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator to retain texture and flavor. Can freeze for up to 3 months.

Notes

For richer taste, add nutmeg. Keep stirring while heating to prevent burning. Adjust sweetened condensed milk or butter for thicker fudge.
