For the dip

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure to use softened cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, flaked
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped Can be substituted with chives or parsley for variation.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers or crostini for serving

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, flaked smoked salmon, chopped dill, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately with crunchy crackers or crispy crostini.

Notes

For a more filling option, spread it on a toasted bagel and serve with fresh herbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freezing is not recommended as it changes the texture of the cream cheese.
