  • 6 pieces Habanero peppers Remove seeds for less heat.
  • 1 medium Onion Diced.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For sautéing.
  • 1 cup Vinegar Apple cider or white wine vinegar preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika For extra smoky depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Brown sugar adds more depth.
  • to taste teaspoon Salt Enhances flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chop the habanero peppers, removing seeds for less heat.
  • Dice the onion and mince the garlic.

Sauté

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion for about 5 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and stir for another minute.

Add the Peppers

  • Toss in the chopped habaneros and sauté for 5–7 minutes until they soften and caramelize.

Blend

  • Transfer the mixture into a blender, add smoked paprika, sugar, vinegar, and salt to taste.
  • Blend until smooth, adjusting with extra vinegar if necessary.

Cool and Store

  • Allow the sauce to cool before transferring it to a jar.
  • Refrigerate for at least 24 hours to let flavors meld.

Notes

Adjust seasonings to taste; consider adding herbs like cilantro for additional flavor. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about two weeks or freeze for up to six months.
