  • 4 pieces Bratwurst Use your favorite type of bratwurst.
  • 12 ounces Beer or broth Choose a flavored beer or stock for extra taste.
  • 1 large Onion Sliced.
  • 2 pieces Peppers Any color, sliced.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • ¼ cup Mustard For serving.
  • 4 pieces Buns Soft, for serving.

Preparation

  • Place bratwurst in the slow cooker.
  • Add sliced onions, peppers, and minced garlic on top.
  • Pour beer or broth over the ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until brats are cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve in buns with mustard.

Notes

For added toppings, consider sauerkraut, relish, or sliced jalapeños. Pair with potato salad or chips.
