Ingredients
  

For the beef mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the biscuit topping
  • 1 package refrigerated Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef mixture in a greased casserole dish.
Biscuit preparation
  1. In a bowl, prepare the biscuit mix according to package instructions, adding milk and melted butter.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the beef mixture.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
  2. Serve warm.

Notes

Let any leftovers cool completely before storing. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving.
