Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. It also freezes well for up to three months.
