Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh or properly thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 2 tsp chili powder Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking the shrimp.

For the Tacos

  • 8 small tortillas Corn or flour tortillas can be used.
  • 1 cup coleslaw mix Pre-packed mix can be used.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise For the creamy sauce.
  • 1 tbsp lime juice For added freshness.
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish Optional garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, and lime juice to create the creamy sauce.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.

Assembly

  • Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp onto the tortillas, topping with coleslaw, and garnishing with cilantro.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For leftovers, store the shrimp and coleslaw mixture separately from the tortillas. Use fresh shrimp for the best taste. Adjust seasoning to your liking.
