Ingredients
  

Base ingredients

  • 1 bag Tortilla chips Use sturdy tortilla chips that won't break easily under toppings.
  • 2 cups Homemade cheese sauce Make fresh for the best taste or use jarred cheese sauce.

Toppings

  • 1 cup Ground beef or chicken (optional) Season with taco seasoning for added flavor.
  • 1 cup Black beans Can be replaced with pinto beans if desired.
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 1/2 cup Jalapeños Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Use a blend of cheeses for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream For topping.
  • 1/2 cup Guacamole For topping.
  • 1/2 cup Salsa For topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread tortilla chips evenly on a sheet pan.
  • Pour homemade cheese sauce over the chips.
  • Add ground beef or chicken if using, along with black beans and corn.
  • Top with jalapeños and additional shredded cheese.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
  • Serve immediately hot right out of the oven.

Notes

If you have leftovers, allow the nachos to cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep in mind that chips may become soggy when stored, so it’s best to enjoy them fresh. Feel free to experiment with different toppings such as chopped onions or olives for extra flavor.
