Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm water Make sure the water is warm, not hot
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese You can use a mix of cheeses for extra flavor.
  • Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, etc.) Feel free to customize with your favorites.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into your desired shape.
  • Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan.
  • Spread pizza sauce over the dough and add cheese and desired toppings.
  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
