For the crust
  • 2 cups sugar cookie crumbs (about 16 cookies, crushed)

For the cream filling
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sugar cookie pieces, chopped
  • Red and green sprinkles for decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine sugar cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan to form an even crust.
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined and light.
  5. Fold the chopped sugar cookie pieces into the cream mixture.
  6. Spread the cream mixture evenly over the prepared crust.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle the top with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.

Notes

These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you have leftovers, they can also be frozen for up to a month. Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth mixture. For lighter texture, chill your mixing bowl before whipping cream. Feel free to add flavors like almond extract or incorporate nuts or chocolate chips into the cream mixture for variety.
