  • 28 oz 28 oz. can whole tomatoes (undrained) Use ripe tomatoes for best flavor.
  • 2 10-oz cans 2 10-oz. cans diced tomatoes and green chilies (undrained)
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 whole 1 whole jalapeno pepper (seeded) Adjust for spice level.
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves (packed)
  • 1 whole 1 lime (juice only)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place all the ingredients in a large blender.
  • Pulse about 10-15 times, or until you achieve the desired consistency.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

Chill your salsa for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors. For a smoother texture, blend a bit longer. Consider adding smoked paprika for a unique flavor twist.
