Ingredients

For the pretzels

  • 12 pieces Pretzel rods Choose sturdy ones that can hold up to toppings.
  • 1 cup Melting chocolate Dark or milk chocolate preferred.
  • 1 cup Candy for decorations Stock up on M&Ms, candy eyes, and red Skittles or chocolate-covered cherries for the noses.

Optional toppings

  • 1/2 cup Crushed nuts Can add an extra layer of flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Sprinkles For additional color and fun.
  • 1/2 cup Crushed peppermint To provide a refreshing flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the Chocolate: Begin by placing your melting chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it at medium power, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Once melted, set aside.
  • Dip the Pretzels: Taking one pretzel rod, dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s coated generously. Allow any excess to drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Adding Decorations: While the chocolate is still wet, press M&Ms into the chocolate for eyes and a red candy for the nose. Give it a light press to ensure they stick.
  • Creating Antlers: If you’re using additional pretzel pieces for antlers, stick them into the chocolate on either side above the eyes.
  • Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate hardens completely.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once set, present them on a festive tray, and watch everyone’s faces light up as they reach for these delightful treats.

Notes

For an extra special touch, sprinkle crushed peppermint over the chocolate before it sets to give your Reindeer Pretzels a refreshing flavor that’s perfect for the holidays!
