Ingredients
  

For the Tea

  • 8 cups water Use filtered water for the best taste.
  • 8 bags black tea You can substitute with green tea if desired.
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar Adjust the sugar to preference.
  • 1 tsp baking soda Enhances the color of the tea.

For the Strawberry Puree

  • 4 cups strawberries Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.

Preparation

  • Boil the water in a large pot.
  • Remove from heat and add the tea bags; steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until it dissolves completely.
  • Stir in the baking soda to enhance the color.
  • Allow the mixture to cool, then refrigerate it.

Strawberry Puree

  • While it's cooling, purée the strawberries and strain them to get rid of the seeds.

Combine and Serve

  • Mix the strawberry puree into the chilled tea.
  • Serve over ice, and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover tea in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Enjoy within a few days for the freshest taste.
