  • 50 grams Unsalted Butter
  • 50 grams Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 100 grams Sliced Almonds
  • 2 tablespoons Candied Orange Peel, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 100 grams Dark Chocolate, melted For dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a tray with parchment or silicone mat.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup together.
  3. Stir in the flour, sliced almonds, candied orange peel, and vanilla extract.
  4. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto the tray, spaced 3 inches apart.
  5. Lightly flatten each mound with the back of a spoon.
  6. Bake for 6–8 minutes until golden and lacy.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Dip the bottoms in melted chocolate and let them set.
  9. Arrange on a plate or gift in a box for a classy treat.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. To freeze, wrap each cookie in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag.
