Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
- Heat honey, sugar, butter, and cream in a saucepan until smooth.
- Stir in plain flour and vanilla extract.
- Mix in sliced almonds.
- Spread the mixture thinly on the baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
- Let cool slightly, then cut into shapes.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled Florentines and allow to set.
Notes
Store Quick Florentines in an airtight container at room temperature. They can last up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them layered between parchment paper. To reheat, pop them in a warm oven for a few minutes.
