  • 1 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/3 cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Plain Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Double Cream
  • 50 g Dark Chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  2. Heat honey, sugar, butter, and cream in a saucepan until smooth.
  3. Stir in plain flour and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in sliced almonds.
  5. Spread the mixture thinly on the baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  6. Let cool slightly, then cut into shapes.
  7. Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled Florentines and allow to set.

Notes

Store Quick Florentines in an airtight container at room temperature. They can last up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them layered between parchment paper. To reheat, pop them in a warm oven for a few minutes.
