  • 17.5 oz snickerdoodle cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened Ensure butter is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 large egg Can use egg substitutes like applesauce or flaxseed meal for a vegan option.
  • 3 tbsp red gelatin powder Can increase quantity for more vibrant color.
  • 3 tbsp blue gelatin powder Consider using different flavored gelatin for variety.
  • 3 tbsp green gelatin powder
  • 3 tbsp yellow gelatin powder
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar For rolling the cookie dough balls.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the snickerdoodle cookie mix, softened butter, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  • Gradually add the gelatin powders (red, blue, green, and yellow) to the dough and mix well.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and then roll them in granulated sugar.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. Can freeze for longer storage. Decorate with sprinkles for extra festivity.
