Ingredients
  

Fondue Base
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 12 oz beer (pumpkin ale or Oktoberfest) Use for authentic fall flavors.
Cheese Mixture
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese High-quality cheese is recommended.
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch Helps thicken the fondue.
Spices
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Dippers
  • Pretzel bread, crisp apples, or vibrant veggies Choose dippers as preferred.

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan, add the pumpkin puree and beer. Set the heat to medium and stir until it starts to simmer.
  2. In a separate bowl, toss the shredded cheddar and Gruyere with cornstarch until they’re well-coated.
  3. Gradually add the cheese mixture to your simmering pumpkin and beer, stirring continuously until the cheeses are beautifully melted and smooth.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, paprika, and nutmeg, along with salt and pepper to taste. Blend everything until it’s well combined and heated through.
  5. Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot or slow cooker to keep everything warm and ready to share.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality cheese and melt slowly. Experiment with cheese types and enjoy with a variety of dippers.
