Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling
  • 16 oz can jumbo biscuits, each biscuit cut into fourths
  • 7-8 sticks mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into 31 pieces
  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Optional: grated parmesan cheese for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each biscuit into fourths to have a total of 32 pieces, but only use 31 pieces.
  3. Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks into 31 equal pieces.
  4. Place a small piece of mozzarella cheese onto each dough square and seal to form balls.
  5. Arrange the dough balls in a Christmas tree shape with seams facing downward.
  6. Brush the shaped dough with the beaten egg.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Melt the butter and mix in minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
  3. Once the bread is baked, brush with the garlic butter mixture and optionally sprinkle with parmesan.

Notes

Serve warm with marinara or pesto for dipping. Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen after baking.
