Pretzel Bread Bowl with Cheese Dip
A warm, gooey pretzel bread bowl filled with creamy cheese dip, perfect for game day or family gatherings.
Ingredients
For the Cheese Dip
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure to soften for easy mixing.
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese You can customize the cheese blend.
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bread Bowl
- 1 large round pretzel bread loaf Cut the top off and hollow out the center.

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F if you want to warm the bread bowl.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, diced bell pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until smooth and melted.
- Cut the top off the pretzel bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving thick sides.
- Warm the bread bowl in the oven for 5–10 minutes if desired.
- Pour the hot cheese dip into the bread bowl and top with extra shredded cheese and diced green pepper.
Serving
- Serve with bread cubes, carrot sticks, or pretzels for dipping.
Storage
- To store leftovers, keep the dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
- For easy reheating, microwave the dip in short intervals, stirring frequently until warmed.
- To freeze, place the cheese dip in a freezer-safe container and thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
Notes
For a crispy top, broil the cheese dip for a couple of minutes after pouring it into the bread bowl. You can also customize with cooked bacon or jalapeños for a spicy kick.
