Preparation

  • Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat until they're fragrant, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add granulated sugar, stirring continuously until bubbly and golden.
  • Remove the caramel from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, being cautious as it may bubble up.
  • Quickly toss the toasted pecans into the caramel sauce until well-coated.
  • Pour the mixture onto a lined baking sheet and spread it evenly. Allow it to cool completely for about 30 minutes, breaking apart any clumps.
  • Once cool, serve your Praline Crunch Delight as a snack or topping for ice cream or yogurt.

Notes

Make sure ingredients are at room temperature. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent sticking. For added flavor, consider incorporating cinnamon or bourbon into the caramel.
