  • 1 can 1 (8 ounce) can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pound 1 pound lean ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or shredded chicken.
  • 3/4 cup 3/4 cup Old El Paso Thick 'n Chunky salsa Use hot salsa for spicier version.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Can experiment with different types of cheese.
  • Shredded lettuce, as desired For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any fat.
  3. Stir in the salsa and taco seasoning mix.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and place it in a baking dish, pressing it flat to cover the bottom.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, topped with shredded lettuce if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze before baking for up to two months. Consider adding sour cream or additional salsa on top when serving.
