  • 1 can 8 ounce can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pound lean ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 3/4 cup Old El Paso Thick 'n Chunky salsa
  • 2 tablespoons Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Can experiment with different cheese blends.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the salsa and taco seasoning; cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it in a greased baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a crust.
  5. Spread the beef mixture over the crust, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
  7. Top with shredded lettuce before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side of Mexican rice or refried beans, and consider adding sour cream or guacamole.
