Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, garlic, provolone cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté the onions and bell peppers before adding them to the meat mixture. Incorporate a splash of Worcestershire sauce for added depth. Try using a meat mixture of ground beef and pork for a richer flavor.
