Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese You can substitute with mozzarella or cheddar for a different flavor.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or enjoy in a sandwich on toasted hoagie rolls. Leftover meatloaf can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for later use.
