Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef Use lean ground beef to avoid greasiness.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese Can substitute with gouda or cheddar for variation.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, minced garlic, provolone cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or a green salad. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
