  • 1 pound ground beef Opt for lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese Can substitute with another cheese if desired.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1 large egg
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced bell pepper, provolone cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined.

Cooking

  • Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf pairs well with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad. Optional: drizzle with barbecue sauce or serve with gravy.
