Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 bottle red wine Choose a good quality red wine.
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1/4 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is best.
Fruits
  • 1 apple, diced Any variety can work.
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (like strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) Feel free to mix berry varieties.
Fizz Element
  • 2 cups soda water or lemon-lime soda Add just before serving for carbonation.
  • to taste Ice Add plenty for serving.

Preparation
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and orange juice.
  2. Add in the diced apple, sliced orange, sliced lemon, and mixed berries, allowing their flavors to mingle.
  3. Stir gently to combine all ingredients and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. This will let the flavors infuse beautifully.
  4. Just before serving, add the soda water or lemon-lime soda and plenty of ice.
  5. Serve chilled and enjoy the refreshing experience!

Notes

Sangria is best served in a glass pitcher to display the colorful fruit and wine combination. Pair with tapas-style hors d'œuvres or light pastries for the best experience. Leftovers should be consumed within 1-2 days for optimal quality.
