Pizza Base

  • 1 batch Pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Adjust based on preference

Toppings

  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Pepperoni slices Slice in half for a different texture
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For drizzling
  • 1 cup Cornmeal For dusting
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Optional seasoning

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) or higher. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.
  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving space at the edges.

Topping

  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  • Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and add oregano if desired.

Baking

  • Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or pizza stone.
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for a few minutes before adding toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Experiment with different cheeses, and add vegetables for extra flavor.
