Ingredients
  

For the pepper steak
  • 1 lb beef steak, sliced into strips Use flank steak or top sirloin for tenderness.
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced Any color bell pepper works well.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
For the macaroni cheese
  • 1 cup macaroni pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated Feel free to mix different cheeses.
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat and add the sliced steak. Cook until browned, then remove from the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
  4. Add the steak back into the pan, along with soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Cook for a few more minutes.
  5. For the macaroni cheese, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Combine the macaroni with the cheese sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the pepper steak alongside the macaroni cheese.
