Ingredients
  

Flatbread Base

  • 1 piece flatbread or naan (about 8–10 in / 20–25 cm) Use a sturdy flatbread for better support.
  • 2 tbsp fig jam

Toppings

  • 1 ripe pear thinly sliced Provides natural sweetness and fiber.
  • 3 oz brie cheese, sliced Ensure the brie is at room temperature for easier slicing.
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Drizzle over the top before baking.
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze Drizzle over the baked flatbread.
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans Optional for added texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the flatbread on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread the fig jam evenly over the surface of the flatbread.
  • Arrange the sliced pears and brie cheese on top, followed by a sprinkle of dried cranberries (and nuts, if desired).
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

Baking

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges of the flatbread are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh thyme leaves before serving.

Serving

  • Slice and enjoy warm as a sweet-savory appetizer or elegant snack.

Notes

To store leftovers, cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5-7 minutes. Freeze prepared flatbread (before baking) for later use.
