Ingredients
  

Flatbread Base

  • 1 piece store-bought flatbread or pizza crust (about 10–12 in / 25–30 cm) You can also use homemade flatbread.
  • 1 ripe pear thinly sliced

Toppings

  • 3 oz blue cheese, crumbled For a richer flavor, use high-quality blue cheese.
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts Feel free to experiment with different nuts.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • to taste salt & pepper
  • fresh arugula optional for garnish Adds a peppery freshness.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Brush the flatbread with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange pear slices evenly over the surface, then top with crumbled blue cheese and chopped walnuts.

Cooking

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  • Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
  • Add a handful of arugula, if desired, for garnish. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For best storage results, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic and foil for up to a month, but be cautious about texture after reheating.
